Screenwriter Belle Mott will share the spiritual principles involved in the writing of her feature film script Pink Ludoos and the many synchronistic events that led to it being produced. The three hour workshop will also cover the basics of story structure, character development and screenplay form. By donation.
Screenwriter Belle Mott’s, comedy feature film script, Pink Ludoos was produced by Brightlight Pictures and screened in festivals in the U.S. the U.K. and Canada where it won the Best Canadian Feature award at the Reel World International Film Festival in Toronto. It later aired nationally on Citytv and was released on DVD under the title Sweet Destiny. After the success of her first feature, Belle’s short screenplay “Northern Lights” was selected by City TV’s short film competition and received development funding under their Cinecity Project Initiative. Her most recent feature-length screenplay, The Dowry Kings is in development.
Belle has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of British Columbia and holds a teaching degree as well; this gives her a solid foundation in dramatic structure and style. Her ability to provide insight and direction were invaluable in her work as a jury member for two Praxis screenplay competitions and for the screenwriting workshops she leads.
When Belle is not writing, she enjoys taking meditative walks in the woods near her home in Delta, where she lives with her husband and two children.
