Lifting Us from Secular Duties to Sacred Divinities: 10 am to 12:30 pm Saturday, Jan. 19
(Open to all Unity Women, all who identify as women, and their friends)
“Know that even when you are in the kitchen, our Lord moves amidst the pots and pans.” ~ St. Teresa of Avila
What do the women mystics of past and contemporary women spiritual leaders have to teach us about trusting our intuition, love and relationships, motherhood, growing older, and dying? Join Cynthia Brix as she shares stories from women spiritual teachers and mystics who have inspired and guided her through the joys, sorrows, and challenges of life.
We will explore inspirations from both contemporary women mystics (Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo, Sr. Lucy Kurien) and ancient women mystics (Teresa of Avila, Rab’ia, Anandamayi Ma)— to discover how these profound women’s teaching are directly relevant and applicable in our everyday lives, bringing us into remembrance of who we are, and reconnecting us with our deeper purpose. Our time together will include small group sharing, guided meditation, and journaling.
